Episode 6: From an Intelligent Creator to Jesus
17m

Get the Workbook | Facilitator Guide | As the title implies, in this chapter we will show how we get from believing in an intelligent creator to knowing Jesus Christ. We will build a bridge between two ways of knowing who God is: reason on the one hand, and Divine Revelation on the other. By pondering the answers to a half-dozen simple questions for ourselves, we will see the beautiful way faith and reason build on each other leading to the conclusion that Jesus is Emmanuel, “God with us,” and that He is unconditional love.

In this episode you will learn that ...

■ We can only know who God is, whether He loves us and if His love is unconditional, whether He has a plan for us, and whether (and how) He saved us from sin, by the means of Divine Revelation.

■ Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity, made an astonishing claim that no other world religion founder has: that He is God Himself, Emmanuel, “God with us.”

■ There are four different kinds of love: the love of affection for someone or something, the love between friends, romantic love, and charity, or unconditional love.

■ God is love.

■ Because God is love, He seeks to share His loving goodness with us, to be with us as one of us, to communicate to us in the way we are His loving mercy.

■ God’s love is unconditional.
