The End of Porn? (Nick Stumphauzer) | Ep. 556

Fr. Kevin Kolker, the youngest of four siblings, including The BeatiDude's very own Paul Kolker, serves as the Parochial Vicar at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. This episode covers the arch of Fr. Kevin’s life journey to the priesthood. Fr. Kevin grew up in Coppell, Texas, and attended St. Ann Catholic Parish. He went to school at St. Luke in Irving before entering high school at Jesuit Dallas, where he learned about being a man for others and doing all things for the great glory of God. He attended Texas A&amp;M University, where he received degrees in both Mathematics and Philosophy before a short stint in corporate America. Despite his efforts to run from the Lord’s call, Fr. Kevin came to understand that God wanted him to be a diocesan priest. He then completed his philosophy studies at Holy Trinity Seminary in Dallas before going to Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans to study theology from 2018-2023. Fr. Kevin was ordained a priest on May 20th, 2023, alongside 7 other men in the Diocese of Dallas. Ep 17 - Thunder-rolling Through Our Battle

THE SLAYER OF DEMONS!...okay, that may not be a title given to St. Joseph, but it was a slip of the tongue by James and just maybe it will be added to his litany one day. For those of you who do not know, this is the year of St. Joseph as declared by Pope Francis!  This day and age is especially trying for families and most glaringly men. Turn to St. Joseph, the patron saint of our beautiful Church. St. Joseph is a man who was chosen by God to lead the Holy Family. He loved his wife and son more than anyone and his actions literally spoke volumes. There is now Josephology happening in our age! Some fun facts for you men about this incredible man: He is the patron saint of our beloved Catholic Church, unborn children, fathers, workers, travelers, immigrants, and a happy death. Feast Day: March 19th St. Joseph the Worker: May 1st, to counter the Communists' May Day by Pope Pius XII Month of March is dedicated to St. Joseph Wednesday (yes, every Wednesday!) is dedicated to him as well.
