Prudence and Martyrdom

What does it really mean to &ldquo;fear the Lord&rdquo;&mdash;and how does it lead to becoming a true son of God?
In this powerful message, men are invited into a deeper understanding of God&rsquo;s immensity and His intimate love. Far from a distant force, God reveals Himself as &ldquo;Abba, Father&rdquo;&mdash;a loving Father who created us for relationship and calls us into divine sonship. Through baptism and the gift of the Holy Spirit, we are no longer slaves, but heirs with an eternal inheritance.
But there&rsquo;s a battle.
The enemy works to distort our identity, pulling men toward false versions of masculinity rooted in power, pleasure, and success. This talk exposes those counterfeits and calls men back to their true identity as beloved sons.
Through daily prayer, the sacraments, and a life poured out in love for others, men can grow in grace and become more like the Father.
This isn&rsquo;t just theology&mdash;it&rsquo;s a call to live differently.

Fr. Dominic Legge, O.P., is the President of the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception (PFIC) at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C. Prior to his role at OSV, Jason served as Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan, where he successfully combined and reorganized five separate county-based Catholic social service agencies into one regional service agency. He was recognized by Crain&rsquo;s Detroit Business with their 40 Under 40 Award in 2014. Jason also served as Secretariat Leader of Evangelization and Parish for the Diocese of Toledo and was the founder of Catholic Youth Summer Camp.
Over the last two decades, Jason&rsquo;s work has primarily focused on creating and renewing Catholic apostolates and organizations, infusing in them a new passion and growth mindset necessary to lead more people to Christ and His Church. Jason holds a BA in education from Miami University of Ohio, an MA in Theology from the Pontifical College Josephinum with an emphasis in the New Evangelization, and an MA in nonprofit administration from Mendoza College of Business of the University of Notre Dame. He also holds a certificate in Fundraising Management from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
Jason serves as a consultant on the Committee of Religious Liberty for the U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops. Needing a higher order of medical care to stop the hemorrhaging, Erin and Kyle had to be transported to a major hospital in Denver by plane. When they left the kids behind, they feared that Erin might not survive, and they were told that the baby would certainly not make it. The doctors encouraged the couple to perform a “procedure,” which was a euphemism for an abortion. Kyle knew at this moment they were facing a medical community that was not on the same page as the family, and the couple would need to rearrange their entire lives to prevent the ongoing pressure to abort.Kyle couldn’t return to Wyoming Catholic College, where he was serving as a dean and a professor, while his wife and unborn baby needed him in Denver. As Erin remained pregnant for ten more weeks in the hospital, the entire college met and decided to reorganize the schedules and plans of EVERYONE—all staff, students, and faculty—to accommodate the family's needs in supporting this birth. It argues that while the spiritual and temporal powers existed, they were not parallel structures attempting to govern the same social space in a contest over sovereignty. Rather, the spiritual and the temporal powers were wrapped up together in a differentiated and sacramental world, and both included the other as aspects of their very identity. The realm was governed not by proto-absolutist institutions, but rather by networks of friends that cut across lay/clerical lines. Ultimately, the king's "fullness of power" and the papacy's "fullness of power" came together to govern a single social order.

The prevailing narrative of human history, given to us as children and reinforced constantly through our culture, is the plot of progress. As the narrative goes, we progressed from tyranny to freedom, from superstition to science, from poverty to wealth, from darkness to enlightenment. This is modernity's origin myth. Out of it, a consensus has emerged: part of human progress is the overcoming of religion, in particular Christianity, and that the world itself is fundamentally secular.

Jones has two books forthcoming: Before Church and State: A Study of Social Order in St. Louis IX’s Sacramental Kingdom and The Liturgical Cosmos: Explorations in the Sacramental and Biblical Vision of Pope Innocent III. He is also working on a one volume history of the Catholic Church.

He is three months shy of the ten-year anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. He is Parochial Administrator at Annunciation BVM Parish in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Back in his days as a student-athlete he attended Kutztown University on an athletic scholarship and, as a pole vaulter, won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championship. David Colletti is a loving husband, father, and people-focused leader driving outsized impact through a culture of extraordinary teams built on character, magnanimity, authenticity, integrity, and purpose. Colletti is Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Mergers &amp; Acquisitions for 7-Eleven, Inc. He is responsible for all store growth and integration in the U.S. and Canada, including new store builds, acquisitions and integration, store development in partnership with the Construction team, and managing the company’s extensive portfolio of physical assets to ensure they deliver maximum value to 7-Eleven. Colletti serves on the board of the DFW Retail Executives Association. He received a dual-degree Bachelor of Arts from The Catholic University of America and his Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School.The show starts with the Dudes slurping up a 7-Eleven history lesson from David. Quickly, we learn that Colletti was drawn to his first job on 7-Eleven’s legal team because of the Jesus conversations he had when discussing servant leadership during his interviews. Nose: Wind-swept beaches, coastal peat and a hint of ash, complimented by touches of green fruit.
Palate: Yet more sea breeze, with oat cake crumbs, growing spicy notes of cracked black pepper and a deft whiff of peat smoke. Hints of vanilla here and there.
Finish: Salinity lasts on the finish along with peppery warmth.
