#52 Advent Waiting
2m
One of the most difficult things we can do is wait. Patience is a virtue that is neglected and undervalued in our modern culture where we expect one-day delivery on our packages, instant quarterly results in business, and have unprecedented access to all kinds of information through technology. But patience is a mark of heroic manhood. When we act and live with patience we become mindful of the needs of others. Patience requires humility and surrender of the things we cannot control. This Advent as you find yourself waiting for Christmas and the New Year remember that your practice of patience will bring you closer to God and your neighbor.
