The sin of the week is Anger. Many of us struggle almost daily with anger. Sometimes our anger is just and sometimes it is unjust. So how do you know the difference and if your anger is actually a sin? If your anger is festering and is bad for you then how do you rid yourself of it? Listen into this week’s episode as John and Victor seek to find the answers to dealing with anger in a healthy way and discuss the methods in which we can utilize charity and forgiveness as a remedy for unjust anger.

There is a lot of talk today in Catholic circles about virtuous leadership.  This is a good thing but do we know why virtue is important?  Why does Catholic teaching emphasize virtue so much and why should it be important to business leadership?  In this second of a six part series I lead our participants through an examination of the importance of identity for leadership and the importance of virtue for identity.  If we are going to admit that leadership comes from who we are and virtues help define who we are, then we see the importance of virtues for leadership.

He spent 25 years as a referee in the NBA, officiating over 1,400 regular season games, 240 playoff games, 23 NBA Finals games, and two All-Star Games. He has also been a rules analyst for ESPN/ABC. Earlier in his career he was a referee in the CBA, which followed time that he had spent as a minor league baseball umpire, himself having played in the Baltimore Orioles organization at the minor league level after pitching for Temple University. In high school he had achieved All-Catholic honors in both baseball and basketball in his Junior and Senior years. Four years ago he was inducted to the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame, and last month he was the recipient of Sports Faith International's Father Smyth Award. In 2019 he was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church and just celebrated the two-year anniversary.

Handling Gay Pride and Speaking with Friends w/ Jason Evert

He played two years for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars and also spent time in the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts organizations. In addition, he played many years in the Canadian Football League and was a two-time Grey Cup champion as a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who won the league title game in both 2007 and 2013. In 2009 he earned the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award and in 2013 he led the league in sacks. He would also play in the CFL for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Edmonton Eskimos. 55: What does it mean to fear the Lord?

Sometimes even the best leaders can forget that in the end leadership isn’t about them.  If we are leading our people, it’s to lead them to something bigger than ourselves and sometimes we have to die to ourselves in order to bring people to something that will really be good for them.  At Cana in Galilee the Virgin Mary triggers a series of events that will lead to our Lord’s crucifixion and death.  She hastens the hour of its coming even though that means that she will have to say goodbye sooner.  She teaches us how to lead even when that means saying goodbye.

Sister Helena Burns is a member of the Daughters of St. Paul, an international congregation founded to communicate God's Word through the media. She has an M.A. in Media Literacy Education; a B.A. in theology and philosophy from St. John's University, NYC; studied screenwriting at UCLA and Act One, Hollywood; and holds a Certificate in Pastoral Youth Ministry. Sr. Helena is also studying at the Theology of the Body Institute, PA.

She is a movie reviewer for Life Teen &amp; The Catholic Channel--Sirius XM. She wrote and directed <a href="http://mediaapostle.com/">Media Apostle: The Father James Alberione Story,</a> a documentary on the life of Blessed James Alberione, and is a co-producer on <a href="http://www.the40film.com/">www.The40film.com</a>  a pro-life film documenting the 40 years since Roe v. Wade. She is the author of <a href="http://store.pauline.org/english/books/free1/burns/productid/3847#gsc.tab=0">He Speaks to You,</a> a book for young women published by Pauline Books &amp; Media and developed a Theology of the Body curriculum for teens, young adults and adults, which she presents in a 40-hour course.
