Joining us in the Pub all the way from Montréal, Québec is Peter Stockland who would have nothing better than a good Irish Catholic Whiskey, Jameson. &nbsp;&nbsp;Having been in a pub in Belfast, that was the only thing they served. &nbsp;Sean agrees that Jameson is in order and pours himself a dram of the Black Barrel.
Did you know that the Irish take their Church bells seriously but their water of life even more. &nbsp;In the 19th Century St. Malachy’s Church in Belfast had the largest bell in Belfast that when it rang the whole land shook and trembled. &nbsp;So much so that the vibration disturbed the whiskey in the nearby distillery. &nbsp;So they took the bell down. &nbsp;Whiskey, the water of life.
Many may have asked who is Peter Stockland, we know him as a man of faith in a world that is so totally dismissive of it that it is a wonder that the waters of faith ebb so deeply within him. &nbsp;Hear about the insane world view held in journalism and how we are called to face obstacles like men. &nbsp;Peter shows us the glory in the Church’s present day suffering and how we need to discipline ourselves to see the face of our suffering God in others.

Richard G. DeClue, Jr., S.Th.D. is the Professor of Theology at the Word on Fire Institute. In addition to his undergraduate degree in theology (Belmont Abbey College), he earned three ecclesiastical degrees in theology at the Catholic University of America. Ep 35 - Let the Journey Begin

In the ascent towards holiness and happiness, a Catholic man must build the good habits (Virtue, from the Latin, vir, meaning “manliness, moral strength, goodness, valor”) of the moral life and break the bad habits (Vice, from the Latin, vitium, meaning “defect, offense, blemish, imperfection”) which cause him to fall into sin and risk losing his salvation. Fr. Kevin Kolker, the youngest of four siblings, including The BeatiDude's very own Paul Kolker, serves as the Parochial Vicar at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. This episode covers the arch of Fr. Kevin’s life journey to the priesthood. Fr. Kevin grew up in Coppell, Texas, and attended St. Ann Catholic Parish. He went to school at St. Luke in Irving before entering high school at Jesuit Dallas, where he learned about being a man for others and doing all things for the great glory of God. He attended Texas A&amp;M University, where he received degrees in both Mathematics and Philosophy before a short stint in corporate America. Despite his efforts to run from the Lord’s call, Fr. Kevin came to understand that God wanted him to be a diocesan priest. He then completed his philosophy studies at Holy Trinity Seminary in Dallas before going to Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans to study theology from 2018-2023. Fr. Kevin was ordained a priest on May 20th, 2023, alongside 7 other men in the Diocese of Dallas. Ep 110 - Becoming A Superhero for the Average Joe, A Conversation with Steve Thomas

He is a world champion power lifter. Since 2018 he has broken nine state records in dead lift and bench press, along the way taking first place at the World Championships last year for the World Association of Benchers and Deadlifters for 220-pound 50–54-year-olds. In college he had been a middle linebacker on the football team at the University of San Diego, a Catholic college where he also ran track for them, setting the school shot put and discus records. For approximately 25 years now he has been running a chiropractic sports clinic in the Pacific northwest where for years he has served numerous sports teams and events in roles such as medical director, team doctor, head drug tester, and team chiropractor.

He has won both a Super Bowl and college football national championship. He is entering his second season as Tulane University's special teams coordinator after having spent the 2022 season coordinating special teams for the USFL's Houston Gamblers and XFL's Houston Roughnecks. Prior to 2022, he spent five seasons with LSU, where he joined the staff as an analyst in 2017 and later took over as special teams coordinator. That followed his having spent eleven years with the NFL's New Orleans Saints, the first two as assistant special teams coordinator followed by nine seasons as special teams coordinator. During his time there the team won the Super Bowl in February 2010 over the Indianapolis Colts. He has spent decades around the game, first as a safety at Eastern Illinois and then as a coach at eight different schools over a 25-year period.

Holy Week: Love Poured Out

The thrill of victory...the agony of defeat. Men, these next two weeks James and Fr. Dom talk about the battle we face each and every day.
