Marek Rudak is an ICF credentialed coach on a mission to help Catholic men become the type of leaders that everyone wants to follow.

He was born in communist Poland and lost his dad at a young age.
When his mom remarried, at age fourteen, Marek moved to the United
States. Feeling like he was the fifth wheel in his new family led him
toward a desire to control. He focused on earning his worth through
accomplishments.

Marek graduated in the top 10% of his class at West Point and became
a Ranger in the 82nd Airborne Division, where he deployed to Iraq and
Afghanistan.

Upon separating from the Army, Marek went with the highest paying
job he could find, ExxonMobil, where he worked on multi-billion-dollar
projects all over the world for ten years.

A tough divorce led Marek to a lot of soul searching and multiple life
changes. After meeting the love of his life, Marek decided to quit his

Purpose

The Catholic Church has seen a steady decrease in mass attendance among the general population, but especially among men.
Why is it so hard to for the Church to retain boys and men? Why is religion not appealing to men anymore?
One theory provides four main causes:
1) There is no challenge coming from the average pulpit
2) Most parishes and Dioceses have an emasculated organizational culture
3) Ugly liturgical practices - as we lost our tradition, we also lost a great deal of our beauty in Catholicism
4) Parishes have no brotherhood - there is little to no fraternity in the average Catholic parish

We all find ourselves in a dark place from time to time. Life is filled with adversity and hardship, so it is inevitable that we will find ourselves in a slump. We can fall off the grind mentally, relationally, physically, spiritually, professionally, etc. A slump in one area of life usually leads to slumps in another.&nbsp;
What can we do to work our way out of these downtimes? Are we just a victim of our circumstances? Do we have the ability to change the trajectory of so many areas of our lives? In today's episode, we talk about some practical ways I have dug myself out of some dark holes in life, using a very recent and real example to draw lessons from.&nbsp;
