Today we hear Jesus, mysteriously reveal that He is the long anticipated Bridegroom, a confirmation that He is the Messiah and confirms the great importance of the practice of fasting as a spiritual discipline. 

We’ll reflect upon need for every Catholic man to battle against the deadly Vice of Gluttony and build the Virtue of Temperance by practicing Friday fasts, especially during Lent but throughout the year.

We’ll also consider the great blessing of growing in the Virtue of Piety by frequently walking the Stations of the Cross not only during Lent but throughout the year.
