Just before his death Father Kapaun made the decision to forgive his captors who allowed so many men to die and to ask for their forgiveness. Jeff once pursued success, with Sundays as his connection to faith. In his 40s, he realized true devotion meant integrating Jesus into every workday. Now, in his 50s, he grasps how God's hand shapes his accomplishments. Today, Jeff's business has become a global force for good, touching lives worldwide. His work, now a ministry, echoes the boundless generosity of God.

Heart of a Hero

Bill and his wife answer the call to help others and serve God daily with their time, talent, and treasure. Not only does this inspiring couple lend financial support to various organizations and serve as chairs for various fundraisers, but they also roll up their sleeves and get to work. They have cooked and served meals at the Ronald McDonald House every month for over 13 years. They helped to complete the physical renovation of the building, which now serves pregnant women in danger of homelessness, where Bill and his buddies continue to mow and maintain the lawn. The examples of service that Bill performs are almost as endless as the number of wristbands he wears in support of many people and causes. This show has a surprise opening as Jeff leads Paul, Bill, and Nick through a Jesuit Dallas quiz show full of twists and turns. The quiz helps reveal more about Bill and his incredible past. Bill and BeatiDudes also reflect on the powerful experiences each person had at the National Eucharistic Congress in July of 2024. The Battle for the Family Starts With Fathers - John Bishop E2

Johann D'Souza, PhD, has one stated goal for his approach to friendship: find the most magnanimous people alive. He means the rare ones who combine serious professional competence with an actual pursuit of virtue, and he says they are almost always lonely, because everyone around them wants to know why they don't just settle for mediocrity like a normal person. When he finds one, he tells them their dreams are good and also not big enough, then asks how the two of them can make that vision ten times larger. This is the same man who, three minutes earlier, called his own friendship not worth very much, which is when Paul Kolker, Nick Bezner, and Jeff Schiefelbein stop the show to tell him they will hammer him every time he runs that bit.
The conversion behind it was not an argument he lost. He was a lukewarm math major who didn't know the word tabernacle when he sat down in front of one in Rome, and what met him there was his own habitual evil and God's goodness at the same moment. His conclusion was arithmetic. If it is true, the only logical move is to hand over your whole life. What took the next two years was discovering that holiness is not a decision you make once; it is an ability you do not yet have. He closes with two questions worth sitting in: what would you do if you knew you could not fail, and what would you still do if you knew you would fail.
