Day 19 - Why St. Joseph Loved Having Less (And You Can Too)

No Vacation From God
Father Mariusz Sztuk, another of the original members of the Riders, shares his impressions about how, when on a vacation our faith can be manifest in ways that may be outside of our normal. The riders have always been grateful to have a priest with them on their trips to be able to offer the sacraments to them. While traveling, besides their daily Mass, the men try to demonstrate their faith in public to others around them to hopefully engage with them. Father talks about how even just making the sign of the cross and praying grace at meal times in restaurants can be a witness to faith and may open doors for others who are searching.

This week, Father Dave shares powerful moments from his recent pilgrimage to Poland—visiting sacred sites tied to St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Faustina, and St. John Paul II. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v16Alm20K0o">The Case for Christ</a> is a film adaptation of Lee Strobel's best-selling book of the same name, one that has made an enormous splash in Evangelical circles and beyond. It is the true story of a young, ambitious (and atheist) reporter for the Chicago Tribune, who fell into a psychological and spiritual crisis when his wife became a Christian. In an attempt to bring his wife back to atheism, Lee used his considerable analytical and investigative skills to debunk the resurrection of Jesus. If Jesus didn't rise, Strobel realizes, all of Christianity crumbles like a house of cards.
