This video shares the story of Kevin Rathert, who was in need of a double-organ transplant due to a rare disease, and how through the generosity of another family he was able to come to know Christ's love in a new way.

Leadership has many definitions but all of them have one thing in common:  people have to follow.  Regardless of how good your idea is or how passionate you are about it, if you can’t bring other people along with you, you will not be able to lead successfully.  But effectively sharing your vision and your passion is more than just a natural talent.  It’s a skill that can be studied and harnessed.  And what is more, it is an especial gift that Christ gives to the world through his Christian leaders.

He has been a professional mountain runner, winning the Pikes Peak Marathon in back-to-back years (2020 and 2021). He also competed for the United States at the World Mountain Running Championships in Argentina in 2019. Heroic Men Summit: Rising from Ashes

Let’s face it, leading other people is never an easy proposition.  There are some really dark moments.  If we are honest with ourselves there are times when we would rather quit – stop leading, stop trying to influence others.  Bad things can happen in our lives and moments when it makes us think if it is really worth it.  This is where our Christian faith can be of especial value to us.  Our Lord led us through the cross.  And He has graced His cross to be the power and the strength of those who lead in His name.  The Virgin Mary shows us this in her own life.

Everything Flannery O'Connor w/ Fr. Damian Ference

He coached 132 games in eleven seasons at Notre Dame, leading the Fighting Irish to the 1988 national championship. After Notre Dame he coached at South Carolina. Prior to Notre Dame he coached at Minnesota, Arkansas, North Carolina State, and William & Mary. Along the way he also spent one season as the head coach of the NFL's New York Jets. He was a three-sport athlete in high school before going on to Siena Heights University, where he was on the baseball roster for two years.  He was a CYO Athletic Director and coached basketball at two Catholic schools.  At a different Catholic high school, he was the Athletic Director, before moving on to Associate Director of the Detroit Catholic High School League. He has also served as Chairperson (Lead Driver) of No Sports on Sunday in the Archdiocese of Detroit and is a Certified Play Like a Champion Sports Ministry Coach and Parent presenter.  He's the Athletics and Student Services Coordinator for the Archdiocese of Detroit in the Department of Catholic Schools.

Walking with your wife through RCIA

In this episode, Victor Adams and I talk about PURPOSE. It’s all too easy for our daily lives to feel like an endless cycle of repetition. So we try to find things to give us pleasure and avoid a feeling of emptiness. The problem is, we look to everything else besides the one person who can truly give us purpose.

Psalm 57:2 tells us that God is the one who fulfills his purpose for each one of us. If we want to find the purpose we’re looking for in life, we have to set aside all the other things we turn to and start talking and listening to God.

In this episode, we learn that:
- When you don’t have a purpose, life becomes all about your feelings.
- Lack of purpose is the root of addictions and other issues.
- There’s a longing in yourself that only God can fulfill.

EP47 - Q&A with Fr. Larry Richards - The Reason For Our Hope Foundation

Anand Bheemarasetti is a modern missionary, business entrepreneur, media specialist, and community organizer who has dedicated himself to a life of service by following the inspiration of St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta. After outfitting the BeatiDudes with traditional Indian clothing, Anand shares his story of his roots and his transition to the United States. He had moved to Nebraska and was searching for a place to fit in. He was welcomed by a family who helped to set him on the right path. He was brought into various programs at his parish and started hanging out with seminarians, too. Then, he was introduced to FOCUS through a Bible study that blew his mind. These young people were sharing faith and praying together outside of church. He also attended the FOCUS conference later that year. While meeting with his spiritual director, it became clear that Anand’s vocation would not be priesthood. Instead, he set his sights on joining FOCUS as a missionary. His first year as a missionary was spent at Bradley University, followed by Illinois State University and the University of Colorado in Boulder, before he worked in marketing at the FOCUS headquarters. At the start of FOCUS, Anand knew about the one-year rule of no dating, so he started a friendship with the young lady who would eventually become his wife. Their courtship story is a great testament to building a strong foundation and playing the long game. Anand shares the inspiration that led to his current nonprofit. He had led mission trips to India and then started a media effort to bring Catholicism to YouTube through a series called Ask a Bishop. Then he decided to make a documentary in both Calcutta and Rome during the time of Mother Theresa’s canonization. As he started editing the footage, he heard the words repeatedly, “Find your own Calcutta.” That led to the start of Project Finding Calcutta, a service-focused ministry that provides opportunities for people to gather each week to perform corporal works of mercy.
