Dr. John Bergsma is a Full Professor of Theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio. He served as a Protestant pastor for four years before entering the Catholic Church in 2001, while pursuing a Ph.D. in Theology at the University of Notre Dame. Specializing in the Old Testament and the Dead Sea Scrolls, Dr. Bergsma graduated with high honors in 2004. Andrew and his wife JoAnna have created a legacy of faith and love for their six children and ten grandchildren. After recounting his journey to the Church and his courtship with his wife, Andrew shares the harrowing tale of his father’s escape from the Warsaw Ghetto during WWII and the struggles, losses, and victory that ensued.
